  • The Voice is back!

Back and loving every minute of it!
  • There’s that red tailcoat.

    By hpdhondo
I feel like I’ve found my red tailcoat that was lost years ago. As soon as I played the first song, I heard the voice that was with me throughout my high school years and after. The album gets better and better as I listen. These are songs from years of life experiences and I appreciate the soulful way Steve brings them to life. I am enjoying hearing him again, getting to know him a little better, and letting these songs speak to me.
  • Perfect

This is the first album I’ve bought in years, and first on vinyl since I was a kid. I figured it was the best way to go, since that’s how I remember listening to Steve Perry when I was young. I may need to get another one since I’m wearing this one out! I’m not a music connoisseur; I go by how music makes me feel. This album takes me through the emotional spectrum, from happy to sad to melancholy to excited and so on. No auto tune here, this is The Voice, aged like a fine scotch or a strong oak.
  • Traces of that voice!

A peace came over me the first song I heard! It almost didn’t matter how great the song was once that amazing voice landed on my ears! Thank you Steve Perry.
  • Horrible voice

Doesn’t even sound like him anymore. How sad sounds like a 90 year old man singing.
  • Full of feeling...

    By johnny-five-oh
This album is deeply personal. The pain, sorrow, love, longing and joy Steve feels are all expressed beautifully through his voice. Is it Journey? No, but it’s not meant to be. To gain a greater appreciation for where these songs come from, get online and watch some of the interviews he’s done recently and put yourself in his shoes. He’s been on a deeply personal journey since deciding to leave Journey after Trial By Fire, and these songs reflect those experiences. I love every song on this album, and I’m so thankful he was willing to share them with us.
  • Such a shame

I don’t understand why he just doesn’t go back to Journey before it’s too late. Not bad but nothing memorable. “No Erasin’” is alright, but the only other song he’s done in his own as good as this is “Oh Sherrie,” which is also very melancholic. If you aren’t happy Steve, go back to Journey and show us what you’re really made of!

The velvet voice is back! How I have waited! This was a surprise of a lifetime! Thank you Steve for gracing us with your voice after all these years!
